Memorial Day and 4th of July is just around the corner and I needed something to make for the annual parties that I throw. I always make cheesecakes, I am kind of famous for it, and I knew that if I didn’t make it I would be in trouble. But, I wanted to change it up though! I knew I wanted to make mini cheesecakes (or you can call them cheesecake cups). These Easy Patriotic Memorial Day Desserts will be a hit at your next party.
While I was at my local Walmart picking up some other things I needed to get for my party, I wondered down the candy aisle to see what I could find! After looking at several options I found TWIX® Bites and knew they would be a perfect match for my cheesecakes.
Have you seen these? I just want to say that they are awesome… no unwrapping, you can just grab them and do what you need to do with them. If you haven’t seen these yet, you need to check them out. Mars candy bars now come in bite sized pieces!
Easy Patriotic Memorial Day Desserts
They were super easy to make and I love how cute they came out. Here is what you’ll need to make your own:
Cupcake Pan and white wrappers
What you need:
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
- 12 vanilla wafers
- Whipped topping – homemade or store bought will work fine. I went with store bought.
- TWIX® Bites
- Berries – Strawberries and Blueberries
- RW&B Sprinkles (optional)
Preheat oven to 325°F. Then beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract; beat well.
Line 12 cupcake cups with paper baking cups. Place a wafer in bottom of each cupcake cup.
Spoon the cheesecake batter into each cup, filling each 2/3 full.
Add 1 TWIX® piece in the middle, bake 22 to 24 minutes or until centers are almost set. Cool in pan on wire rack. (Mini cheesecakes will deflate in center upon cooling.). Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
Take out the whipped topping and allow it to defrost completely.
Grab a handful of TWIX® Bites and chop them up in a food processor or you can chop them with a knife. Next fold 2/3 of it into the whipped topping. ***this taste so good just so you know, I could eat a whole bowl of JUST this – HA.
Sprinkle some of the crushed TWIX® Bites on the cheesecake.
Add whipped topping. Just be careful this will melt kind of fast, so I would wait until you serve this to add the topping or allow your guest to create their own mini cheesecakes. Top with the strawberries, blueberries and 1 TWIX® piece.
You can add Red, White and Blue sprinkles too! These will be perfect for 4th of July too!
These are AMAZING and will please everyone at your next party.
