Recipe: Grilled Pork Chops

July 12, 2013

Fire up the grill, or stove stop grill, and get yourself a gorgeous set of pork chops. In the summer time I make these super simple grilled pork chops every Monday. Check out this super simple recipe for perfect grilled pork chops, and then get your grill on!

In the summer time, well actually anytime I’m able to; I grill most of my meals. I like to grill in the winter time and summer time; if the weather permits I’m outside grilling away. Actually that’s not true I will even grill in the rain or when its 117 outside, HA. On this day that I was making dinner I was out of propane so I had to use the inside stove top grill pan.

These pork chops are super simple to make and you can customized them any way you like. Want something with more of a kick? Add some red pepper flakes. You can add mustard, or soy sauce, or really anything your heart desires or is craving.

These pork chops would pair beautifully with simple roasted potatoes, macaroni and cheese, or even a classic baked potato. I marinated six pork chops, grilled them up and served it to my family that enjoyed every bite. Grilling Recipes don’t have to be fancy to satisfy the family. When all is said and done, that’s what matters right?

Ingredients

6 bone-in pork loin chops (adjust as needed to fit your family needs)
1/4 cup canola oil (so you can grill at a higher heat)
Palm full of dried rosemary
1/2 Palm full of dried thyme
1/4 Palm full of garlic powder
Salt and Pepper

Instructions

Mix oil, dried rosemary, dried thyme, garlic powder in a large baking dish, add in the pork and let it marinate for an hour. You can also add the all the ingredients into a one-gallon resalable plastic bag and marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

Heat the grill to medium and grill the chops 6-8 minutes per side (depending on how thick they are) until they are no longer pink in the center. Remove the chops from the grill and allow them to rest for 5-7 minutes before serving.
