Kool-Aid and Gummy Worm Popsicles

July 2, 2019

As a kid Kool-Aid Fruit Juice was a stable in my household, I always remember my sister making it for my friends to drink on hot summer days. I loved it! We would drink it after long days of swimming in the pool and she would always have bags of gummies for us to snack on. 20 plus years later and here I am today, celebrating summer with a special Kool-Aid Fruit Juice treat; Kool-Aid and Gummy Worm Popsicles, where I combined favorites from my childhood into one Popsicle.

My husband didn’t have Kool-Aid much growing up…WHAT!!! I know I said the same thing to him when he first told me, so he was excited when I told him what I was making.

These Popsicle are really easy to make!

You’ll want to pick up a pack of plastic Popsicle makers. I found some for about $4.

You will need:

  • Watermelon Kool-Aid 96 oz. bottle – whatever flavor you like, watermelon just screams summer to me.
  • 1-2 packets of gummies – I picked gummy worms but you can choose whatever you like.

How to put it together:

Wash your plastic Popsicle makers.

Chop your gummies, the first batch I made I just stuffed the Popsicle makers with the gummy worms and my hubby found them kind of hard to eat, especially if they were still frozen. I chopped them up in the next batch and they were a lot easier to eat.

Pour Watermelon Kool-Aid Fruit Juice over the gummies and fill about 3/4’s full.

Pop the top on and put in the freezer until the juice is frozen.

Hope this inspired you to make this fun treat for your next get together. Let it spark up conversations of memories of Kool-Aid.
