I work out 5-6 days a week, since I started my fitness journey this last year my life has completely changed. I spend 80% of my day (well I should say life haha) in workout/gym clothes but what I hate it that they smell like sweat, even after I have washed them! So I have put this post together filled with tips on how to prevent the sweat smell from your cloths!
Preventing the sweat smell from your workout clothes must be fought from the start!
Right when you get home from the gym hang up your sweaty clothes (I hang them on my shower rod to dry, after I’ve showered) and let them dry. Just as you would let your wet bathing suit or a wet towel dry after its used. Sports bras get a lot of sweat in the elastic band so make sure you hang them up right away to prevent it from smelling. Once they are dry you can put them in your hamper, I have a separate hamper for just workout clothes and wash them together.
NEVER pile your clothes on the floor or in the hamper. Wet, sweaty gym clothes that remain in those piles for too long will actually start to breed mold and mildew spores that can be trapped in the fabric and even with washing it will not remove it.
