Did you know it’s possible to have a clean home in just 10 minutes a day? If you have a plan and the right cleaning products like Pledge® and Windex® it’s quite possible.
Moms are busy, but between work and taking care of kids, they still want to keep some appearance of a clean home. My weekdays are easily filled up with blogging and blog designing so any cleaning that has to be done needs to be done fast, because otherwise it will keep getting put off until later. I notice when I keep putting off cleaning I end up with a really messy house that takes a lot of time to clean up.
I headed down to Smiths (my Kroger banner store) and picked up some Windex®, along with Pledge® Multi Surface and Lemon Clean and Pledge® Lemon Clean, which were conveniently in the same area of the aisle.
To get the most out of your 10 minutes of cleaning, focus where you spend most of the time as a family. For us it’s the living room, kitchen and the loft; then focusing on one piece of furniture to polish.
Now that the kids are old enough they can help too! I know they are great helpers to help clean the house in 10 minutes.
Using Windex®, I can clean one mirror in the house and it will only take minutes.
I love how the Pledge® Multi Surface and Lemon Clean can be used all over the house. It can be used through my cleaning and with ease. All you need is a cloth to clean multiple of surfaces. This is absolutely a must when it comes to quick cleaning. We have glass tables so knowing that I can easily move from surface to surface makes this so much easier.
We also have a lot of wood surfaces in our house that collect dust, and really are a pain in the butt to clean. I like using the Pledge® Lemon Clean on these surfaces to remove the dust and let the wood shine. It doesn’t take long to wipe down each surface but has a big impact. I just like to pick one piece to focus on daily and it’s already made a big impact.

Tips:
- Keep a bucket or something to carry cleaning supplies so you can move from room to room with easy. They are already together so no need to search for the cleaning items you need. **I have a 2 story house so I like to buy doubles and keep a set of supplies on each level.
- Use microfiber cloths, this will help with streaks and will be more eco-friendly.
- Have a chore chart, this will help each member know what job they have that day.
- When you have company over focus only cleaning the rooms that they will actually see and keep the other rooms shut (hoping you don’t have nosy guest that like to snoop – HA) and make sure the bathrooms are always cleaned.
- Always load the dishwasher before bed and unload it in the morning, this helps the dishes from piling up.
Remember you are not going to clean your whole house in 10 minutes but taking the time to clean little parts of it each day will keep you from feeling overwhelmed. I like to pick one day out each week that I vacuum, change bedding sheets and anything else that needs to get done.
